You’re future is created by what you do today. Think about today as though you are getting a letter from your self in the future. Even with the “small” things. Feeling too lazy to wash the dishes? Think about your future self. Would you be happy to walk into the kitchen and see a sink full of dishes the next morning? If you want to be truly happy you must do something today that will make your future self happy.

Each day we have an opportunity to do something that will benefit our future. It might be something that seems small or insignificant, that can make a much bigger impact down the road, or it might even be something that feels large and difficult now, but with an even greater payoff in the future. Drinking water instead of that soda you wanted, choosing to go the gym on your lunch break, deciding to practice instead of party with your friends; These are all examples of choices you can make today that your future self will thank you for. What you choose to do today matters tomorrow. Don’t regret tomorrow what you should have done today.

Always pursue your passion with abandon. There is no need to fear or have doubts; you have enough people who will do that for you. If it keeps you up at night, brings meaning to your life, sets your soul on fire—go after it with everything you have in you. Don’t stop, don’t take no for an answer. Be relentless. Be fearless.

In order to fulfill your dreams you will be required to make many sacrifices. During your journey you will have to make decisions that will be painful, and it will feel difficult, maybe even impossible at times. But trust me when I say, it is worth it. Always remember that your present situation is only temporary and every sacrifice you make is only taking you that much closer to where you want to be. You have two choices—suffer through the pain of sacrifice now, or suffer the pain of regret later. If you choose number one, you’ll never have to experience number 2
